Trees of Mystery

Klamath, California

In the center of the Redwood Forest in California is the Trees of Mystery park, featuring an 8/10ths of a mile trail through the great redwoods. In the summer months, our 49 foot 2 inch tall Paul Bunyan and his 35 foot tall friend, Babe the Blue Ox, waves and welcomes you to the Trees of Mystery. The park also features a Native American museum, The End of the Trail Museum, which offers guests the chance to visit a gift shop and peruse one of the nation's largest privately owned collections of Native American art.

Visitors can ride the Sky Trail ride, a nine minute trip soaring high above the redwoods. Be sure to bring your camera for this one. Cars are a six passenger fixed-grip gondola that is 1,570 feet in length for a one way trip. When it is time to grab a bite to eat, head to the Forest Cafe. Diners will have the excitement of dining among the redwoods, and enjoying the under river area, where guests can immerse themselves in the sense of being under a river with the salmon and steelhead, with a special perspective of the ducks swimming on the surface.

The highlight of the trip is walking among the giant redwoods, which will be something to behold for those that have never stood surrounded in a forest by trees range as high as 375-feet. Learn all about these magnificent beauties including their survival strategies, their mythology, and the role the California climate plays in their growth. At the end of your journey, take home your very own redwood tree to plant and maintain. The Trees of Mystery Park is an excellent place to take little adventurers and those eager to learn, and explore nature.
