Sonoma Traintown is the best place in California for train enthusiasts. The park is a one-and-one-quarter-mile scale railroad adventure with narrow-gauge train replicas of those back in the good old days. The park is located in the Sonoma wine country, famous for its scenic views and vast variety of wineries.

The park admission is free, but there are ride coupons available for purchase. Rides include a ferris wheel, the Scrambler, swing chairs, and a roller coaster. The scale model train ride will take riders through ten wooded acres, over bridges and trestles, through tunnels and past waterfalls until they reach the town of Lakeville where the buildings are scaled at one-half size!

There are a variety of old-fashioned train cars that families can tour, including three full-sized cabooses. Snacks and drinks are available at the refreshment stand, along with souvenirs. Traintown offers Thomas the Tank Engine themed birthday parties that will be a hit with your little birthday train-enthusiasts. Parties are held in the second floor observation deck of the train tower, so the party guests can observe all the action-packed fun while they celebrate.
